The ICS Triplex T8226 can convert external 24V or 48V input into various high-precision voltages required by the internal logic circuits and I/O channels of the system. Although this component does not directly participate in logical operations like a CPU, it is the core of the entire control cabinet. Once it fails or its output fluctuates, the entire chassis will become paralyzed and the equipment will immediately stop running. As a supplier, Tongtu recommends high-quality products. Structure
The ICS Triplex T8226 adopts an efficient switching power supply topology. However, due to the internal integration of multiple independent voltage regulators and rectifiers, which supply power to the logic part, communication bus, and field I/O part of the system respectively, it is much more complex than ordinary power supplies. The circuit board is covered with large-capacity electrolytic capacitors and high-performance filter inductors. These large-sized components are designed to filter out all noise and interference in the input power supply, and output a smooth DC current. The heat dissipation design is also crucial. A large area of aluminum alloy heat sink is directly attached to the power transistor and is cooled naturally through the housing to ensure long-term full-load operation even in high-temperature environments.
Application Scenario
The ICS Triplex T8226, as a high-density analog output module in the Triconex safety instrument system (SIS), is specifically designed for industrial core continuous control and ultimate safety guarantee. From the regulating valves that precisely add hazardous materials in the hydrogenation reactors of oil refineries, to the control valves that maintain the stability of the pipeline network in the pressure regulation stations of natural gas long-distance pipelines, and to the key actuators in the anti-surge and speed control systems of turbine machinery, its presence can be found everywhere.
FAQ
Does the system support HART protocol communication?
No. If it is necessary to read the diagnostic data of the intelligent valve positioner (such as valve position feedback, air pressure, spring failure, etc.) through HART, a dedicated HART analog input module (such as T8480) must be installed in the adjacent slot of the rack. By collecting the 4-20mA loop of the valve, the HART added digital information can be obtained.
How is tripling physically manifested?
There is not a single DAC (digital-to-analog converter) inside. Each output channel has 3 independent DAC circuits and 3 sets of drive circuits. They simultaneously convert the digital quantity issued by the CPU into analog quantities and perform hardware-level tri-state or directly drive the three-wire field device at the output end.
Is the field actuator two-wire or four-wire? How is the wiring done?
It is an active output. Typically, it connects to a two-wire intelligent valve positioner. The module is connected to the external high-density terminal block through the dedicated T8226 base. When wiring, it is necessary to strictly follow the principle of isolating the safety side from the hazardous side, and the shielding layer must be grounded at the cabinet side at a single end.
